2 Minute Span Lifts Celtics In Game 2

2-minute span lifts Celtics in Game 2

The Boston Celtics took a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals on Sunday night, beating the Dallas Mavericks 125-118 in Game 2.

A dominant 2-minute span in the 3rd quarter helped Boston pull away, as the Celtics outscored the Mavericks 10-0 during that stretch to take a 10-point lead.

The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum, who had 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Jaylen Brown added 24 points and 7 rebounds. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 32 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Celtics' strong performance in the 3rd quarter.

The Mavericks are now facing a must-win situation in Game 3 on Tuesday night. If they lose, the Celtics will have a chance to close out the series in Game 4 on Thursday night.
